I think this title is worth a few more issues, if only to see more of Solar's power usage. If the weird coloring remains, though, I'll be dropping this book faster than Solar transmogrified a machine gun into an orgy of atoms.

For an issue in the middle of a crossover I hadn't read a single issue of, I was shocked that I actually enjoyed it. Was it the best TMNT or horror story I've read? Absolutely not, but it was also far from the worst.

I can't recommend Turok: Dinosaur Hunter #1 to anybody. As a single issue it lacked basic story telling, or a sense of anything, really. I will, however give it a few more issues to see if they retroactively make this review 100% wrong. I'd gladly accept that defeat if it means a good Turok story.

This issue was one of the best of the 38 issue run so far. It had a nice balance of a huge cast, great action, and two really gut-punching deaths of main characters. With the series due to end at issue 50, you should just bite the bullet and pick up the trades!

Northampton doesn't need to rely on throwing in modern interpretations of familiar mutants every few pages to keep our attention, the story and art are doing a fine job holding their own.

I'm excited to see where the story will go with only two issues left, and if you're getting the proper Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series I guarentee this will be essential reading for a future arc. Definitely pick this up! Seriously guys, its only three issues (unfortunately).
