A Train Called Love #2 |
Nov 3, 2015 |
A Train Called Love #2 is very weak and disappointing. I'm not sure where Garth Ennis is going, but I am now starting to wonder if I really want to find out. There are some funny moments but overall there's not enough happening to keep you interested. |

A Train Called Love #1 |

This is definitely a book you should try if you like mature humour, a dash of violence and aren't bothered by harsh language. However, this could be said about most of Ennis' works. I'm looking forward to reading the next issue as soon as possible. |

Jem and the Holograms Annual: 2015 |
Sep 29, 2015 |
Unless you're a big fan of Jem, you can pass on this book. It would be okay with a 4 or maybe $5 cover price but consider this : A usual Jem comic is $4 for 32 pages, this one is $8 for 48 pages. So the price per page is actually raised, and the quality of the stories, despite one that is pretty great, just can't justify it. |

Rivers of London #3 |
Sep 25, 2015 |
So far so good. The story is captivating and the cast of characters diverse and attaching. I'm looking forward to read what happens next. The universe of the books is definitely present in the comic but indeed suffers from a lack of space to really set the mood the books have. And while I am not loving the art it does not distract from the story. It gets the job done in the end. |
