Dark Knight III: The Master Race #3 |
Feb 29, 2016 |
Chaos has a way of becoming infectious. A state of being that overrides order, logic, and rational thought, chaos is often difficult to explain. After reading book three of Miller's third act in the DK3, I find myself at a bit of a loss for effective words to describe what's happened. After the heart-dropping cliffhanger that concluded book two, book three largely chronicles the aftermath and the chaos as it rips across the earth and its people. |

Star Wars: Poe Dameron #1 |
Apr 9, 2016 |
Ever since Disney's reset of the Star Wars EU, fans of the once vast and detailed science fiction worlds and stories have found the new timeline feeling, well, empty. The new management has wasted no time, however, getting to work establishing a new canon with original stories based on classic characters and their newly blank calendars, while also filling in details of the new lot with tie-in books and comics. |

Star Wars: Poe Dameron #2 |
May 5, 2016 |
I admit I expected more spectacle than substance from this umpteenth new Star Wars spin-off to fill in seemingly innocuous details the movies didn't get around to filling in, but with each issue I'm pleasantly surprised at the care and detail spent crafting these new tales. Fascinating characters, informative dialogue, and wonderfully detailed world-building that rivals some of my favourite aspects of the classic Expanded Universe content. The dynamic duo of Charles Soule and Phil Noto have given us a thoroughly exciting new adventure set in the Star Wars universe, perfect for new readers and Wookiepedia editors alike, and Poe Dameron #2 will likely rival issue one as one of the comics I most recommend to just about everybody. |
