And poor Betty, who just wants to eat candy and he horny. I felt so bad for her as she didnt know how to react to her two friends fight each other. Its like when your two big sisters fight and you dont know how to stop it. It was heartbreaking as she clung to Hannahs leg to prevent her from leaving. |

Highlights for me include: We got answers to a lot of long lingering questions. Betty interactions with Daniel the dragon was hilarious. I enjoy Dee and Senoa reminiscing about their mom and I the interaction between Hannah and her mom as well. I especially like the friendship between Hannah and Tizzie. |

Also, I called it a few issues ago that Braga and Tizzie would make great additions to the Queens and this issue goes a ways to make that a reality. Incidentally, no Hannah in this issue and not even a mention from one of the Queens. I found that kind of strange. Seeing as how shes escaped her prison, its only a matter of time before she shows up again, but the question is whether itll be as friend or foe. Finally, I loved that with all the strange shit happening the one thing that gets Dee to finally exclaim whats going on? is Tizzy saying I even saw Gary running around with friends. |

Besides the exposition on Hannah's father this issue doesn't really move the story along as it's centered on the adjustment of the girls in the magical world of Mage U. Once again it is hinted that Hannah did something horrible in the past that possibly got her kicked out of Mage U. Also, although Gerard turns out to be Hannah's Stepfather, Wiebe emphasizes that their love is as real as if he were her biological father, and both go out of their way to correct others when they are addressed as stepfather/stepdaughter. |

Overall a good issue, if somewhat slow as it serves to set up the conflict at the University as well as Betty's capture. |

Although Weibe continues to portray the love the girls have for one another, I like how it's not perfect. There are still cracks in the relationships. With Betty, Hannah, and possibly Dee keeping their own secrets it will be interesting how they come out and if they affect the crew negatively. |
