Five Ghosts #2

Apr 18, 2013

This book is easily one of the best this year. The characters are incredibly compelling, the premise is near perfect, the plot is fun, and the art is utterly fantastic. Do yourself a favor and pick this book up. Its what comics were made for.

East of West #1

Mar 28, 2013

I can say with relative ease that Hickman and Dragotta are in the process of creating a new masterpiece. “East of West” # 1 is an incredibly strong first issue, which could have spent more time babying us into the world. Then again, this is Hickman, so I guess well just have to hang on and go for the ride.

Judge Dredd: Year One #1

Mar 21, 2013

The combination of the art and story allow Dredd Year One to really excel. Sadly the characterization of Dredd left some to be desired, a missed opportunity. As far as first issues go, this is an incredible start. If Dredds arc becomes stronger, and the story remains at its current pace, this book will be Dredds deserved return to the spotlight.

Mister X: Eviction #1

May 3, 2013

“Mister X” has become something I must keep my eyes on. A couple of months ago I had no idea about the property. Yet, within a couple of issues Im totally invested in the world of Radiant City. I suggest you get involved. The acclaim for this series isnt bullshit, Motter has created a truly original world with mysteries that are just begging to be solved, and my best guess is Motter wont be able to solve em unless people pick up issues.

The Walking Dead #110

May 10, 2013

The emotional weight this issue has makes you care about the Kingdom and Ezekiel. I can only hope the character stays around, but then again this is “The Walking Dead”, so he may be gone next month.

Mister X: Hard Candy One-Shot #1

Mar 28, 2013

This was a world that I was previously uninitiated too, but the history of Mister X seems to reach pretty far back. The world Motter has created is deep and filled with intrigue. I cant wait to see more of it.
