Daredevil (2022) #1
Jul 11, 2022 |
If this issue is any indication, this run of Daredevil is going to be a great close for this version of Murdock's adventures. The writers set up a great plot, and used every single one of this issues 34 pages effectively. Maybe you are a time honored fan of Daredevil or maybe this is the first comic book you have ever read. Either way, I highly recommend that you give Daredevil a read. It has me hooked, and I am looking forward to the next issue. |

If the next four issues are anything like this one, we are in for a real treat. What If Miles Morales Became Captain America #1 is a fantastic beginning for a really engaging character. Seeing Miles and his network of characters take on different roles in the Multiverse should leave any reader wanting to come back for more and more. |

Doctor Strange: Nexus of Nightmares #1

This is still a super hero comic at its core, but it felt just a little like a character exploration as well, and I would love to see more of this in Marvel Comics going forward. |

Punisher War Journal (2022): Blitz #1
Jun 20, 2022 |
Overall, I found this new story in the Punisher's adventure to be a really fun evolution for the character. I am not always the biggest fan of the Punisher, but having him portrayed in this different light was a choice I really enjoyed. Having him serve as the leader of a group brings out a different side to the character. |

Star Wars: The High Republic (2022) #3
Dec 28, 2022 |
No matter how closely you follow Star Wars comics, I would definitely recommend keeping up with these comics. I have been betting for a while that this era will be the next big focus of Star Wars. It is only a matter of time before it gets onto the screen. These are all new faces, and things that you think of as common are only prototypes at this point in the timeline. There is a lot of familarizing to do with this era, and I think The High Republic comics are a great entry point. #3 was another great entry, and I am excited to read #4 and beyond. |

Moon Knight (2021) #10
Apr 4, 2022 |
If you stick with this series, it is pretty clear by the end that Marc is headed down a pretty violent path. By the end of this edition, there is no doubt that Moon Knight is out for blood. After reading this edition, I believe it would be a pretty foolish endeavor to believe that he won't get whatever (or whoever) he is looking for. Moon Knight #10 had everything you could be looking for. |

20th Century Men (2022) #1

20th Century Men leaves us with a lot of questions and very few answers. The universe seems very compelling, but the direction isn't exactly clear yet. This feels intentional however, and not at all like a writing oversight. This series is headed down a dark path, and it's one I cannot wait to follow closely behind. |

Star Wars: Darth Vader (2020) #24

The "A plot of this edition was nothing to write home about. It was a good reason to bring back a few characters from the series and Star Wars as a whole, but it certainly wasn't one of the more memorable story lines in this series of comics. |

Captain America: Symbol of Truth (2022) #1
May 10, 2022 |
This was a speedy introduction to America's new mascot, and it was packed with a lot of action. I think it could have benefitted from slowing down in its pacing just a little, further allowing us to become more acquainted with our new hero. That being said, it was still a good introduction with a lot of potential for the future of the series. Sam Wilson's evolution into the character will definitely be one worth following. |
