Flash (2016) #28

Aug 11, 2017

Joshua Williamson who wrote this comic and art by Carmine Di Giandomenico did a great job here and interested to see how they play off this negative speed force scenario.

Go Go Power Rangers #1

Jul 26, 2017

This book is very reminiscent of the 90s Power Ranger that we all grew up with and yes, Bulk and Skull are there being their annoying and loveable selves. And man this book brings back memories. We all know how the TV series went lets see if the Rangers have good luck fighting this Rita Repulsa who doesnt seem to be a push over as her TV version.

Astonishing X-Men (2017) #1

Jul 21, 2017

Now most of us know that the Professor is as dead as you can be in this world or the Marvel universe. He was killed by Cyclops when drunk with power from the phoenix force at the conclusion of Avengers vs X-Men storyline and if you think he can come back from that, his brain was removed from his body by the Red Skull to fuse to his brain to consume Charles power. Could this be Charles Xavier soul in the astral plane or is he really back from the dead? Regardless its always great to see an old friend and maybe we see a round 2 between Xavier and the all familiar Phoenix.

Ducktales #0

Jul 19, 2017

This is a light hearted comic book with hints of nostalgia for any reader that remembers the older 90's DuckTales TV show. Pick this book up for a good enjoyable read and to immerse yourself in true Disney magic! Don't forget to check out the new Disney XD show, DuckTales in August to follow along with more of Huey, Louie, and Dewey's misadventures.

Suicide Squad (2016) #27

With this series, it really makes me grateful that someone like myself gets to not only review, but admire and learn the work of a creditable story teller Rob Williams.

Batgirl (2016) #16

Oct 25, 2017

This issue much more masterfully balances the emotions. There is still some humor; the issue even starts with a poop joke. However, the humor doesnt distract from the emotional crux of the issue. When I read that Ainsley had died in such an anticlimactic matter, it really struck a chord. I kept expecting Ainsley to return to the present storyline, but shes gone. This issue exceeded my expectations, and Im excited to see what comes next.

Nightwing: The New Order #2

Oct 3, 2017

Overall, the story is dark and mysterious which are two things I love. It may have a familiar feel to it, but Ill still be in line to find out whats going to happen the Graysons in the next issue. This one is worth a read for sure.

Winnebago Graveyard #2

Jul 18, 2017

The art in this book is all over the place but because this book has a slow burn feel the art is relied upon to help shape this story, which Sampson is handling very well. Niles, who gave us 30 Days of Night, will give us another great issue in book number 3 and I know that the conclusion of this mini-series will not be a disappointment.
