Astounding Villain House One-Shot #1 |
Nov 6, 2013 |
Too bad, because it could have been a funny, clever, well drawn work, and instead, it was none of those things. Its like Doctor Horrible, without the wit, humor, or soul. Leave this trash rag on the shelf, and spend your money on something that will ruin your teeth like candy, or kill brain cells like booze, or do both, like meth. |

Protectors Inc. #1 |

I just think it could have been better. Its a monthly, so like with most new books that dont suck balls right out of the gate (Im looking at you, Liberator and Survivorman), Ill give it another issue before I pass permanent judgment. Still, a very flimsy offering from what should have been a better book. |

Jack Hammer #1 |

The story is alright, and the dialogue is fair. The art is mediocre, but I've seen worse, especially from the minor publication houses. If the concept of a superhero noir interests you, check it out. If not, skip this one. |

If not, then you probably wont enjoy it. Parents, the informed choice is up to you if you want to be responsible and keep it out of the hands of the under 16 crowd, or if you want to be cool. |

Low (2014) #1 |

All in all, not the worst thing Ive had to review recently, and Im sure that future issues will hash out some of these issues. Id say pick it up if youre a fan of Mr. Remender; otherwise, if this is what to expect I dont think many others will stick with it to a second or third issue. |

Dead@17: The Blasphemy Throne #1 |
Sep 2, 2014 |
Since this is a boarder book, connecting the events of the last series to the beginning of this new one, you dont generally expect there to be much in the way of action or intrigue; and in this case, thats about right. Clearly, something major just happened, and something else major is about to happen. Overall, it was a good read, and I expect that fans of the series will get something much greater out of it than I did. Solid effort, worth the price on the cover. |

Resident Alien: The Suicide Blonde #0 |
Aug 14, 2013 |
The plot of the story is afoot by the end of the comic, and it piques the interest to read the next one, which is a good sign at the end of any book. If you were a fan of the last 4 issue run, you're going to get this regardless of the review. If you haven't read the previous series, some of the story will be lost on you, but it's still a good read. I suggest grabbing it, and while you're at your local neighborhood comic shop, ask about if they have the last run sitting in long box somewhere, and grab those as well. |

Resident Alien: The Suicide Blonde #1 |

The book is solid, and chances are, if you are reading this, you are either already reading the series, or got really, really lost while looking for porn. If you havent read any Resident Alien yet, you probably will need to start on a different issue, but for fans of the run, youll pick it up. |

Resident Alien: The Suicide Blonde #2 |

The story is still good, and the writing still stronger than a lot of Dark Horses other offerings, so this continues to be a must read on my list. For those of you who have read the other installments, youre already reading this, and what I say here has no importance to you whatsoever, so lets just end this thing. |

Infinity: Against the Tide #1 |
Aug 28, 2013 |
All in all, it looks to be a good offshoot series, and the ending leaves you wanting to read the next installment. Id say this is a pick up for any fan of the Gun-Metal Wakeboarder, any fan of Marvel, or just those who are digging on the Infinity series with an eye to the next Avengers movie. |

Logans Run- Rebirth #1 |
Sep 4, 2013 |
For people new to the line of books, this isnt a great place to start (as is true with most story lines that feature the subtitle Rebirth), but for fans of the series, this is the follow up theyve been waiting for since Aftermath. All in all, Id say grab it. |
