Faith #1

I'm looking forward to seeing how the story of Faith will progress. If it continues like the first issue, something good will be brewing in each episode.

Faith #2

I'll be honest. I love this comic. I feel very connected to Faith as a person, especially when she thought, "I guess I never really fit the mold. The things I like, the way I look." This thought of hers definitely resounds with geeks worldwide, but it doesn't just have to be about us nerds out there. Anyone could have this thought about anything. She's so relatable that the superhero gig is the icing on the cake. I want more of this comic. I want more people to read this comic. I want to thank Valiant for producing this comic and the creative team that developed it. Faith is one of the freshest comics I've read in a long time. I want to see more comics like this.

Faith #5

I did like the little extras again such as the black talking cat being associated with Sailor Moon. And as always, I like Faith's inner monologue as she talks about her feelings and views on subjects. I still recommend this issue, but it doesn't actually pack the punch that the normal issues do.

Faith #6

I continue to like Faith as a character in general. I like how she views the world and is constantly trying to figure out her way in it. As much as it doesn't make sense, Faith doesn't toss humanity to the side. Instead, she embraces it and determined to make it better place. As we go into a new year it's a good attitude to emulate.

Faith #7

I am intrigued about this story arc. The pacing was different, slower, but did not detract from the story. It was exactly the way it needed to draw out Faith's feeling and produce interest on behalf of the reader. I'm very much looking forward to see what exactly is going on with these possible hallucinations Faith has been having!

I truly appreciate the blend of wisdom and geeky vibes. It's so different than any other superhero comic, and that's what makes it special. As always, this is a winner. Please check it out!

Faith #9

I still enjoyed this issue very much, but it wasn't quite as exciting as the other issues. There were only a few little Easter eggs here and there, but the message about friendship was a nice one. It is a different type of super hero comic, and the fact that Faith has so many supportive friends who know about her identity is good change of pace.

Faith #11

I'm still digging this comic, but the things I originally identified as a female nerd have waned. I still like Faith as an atypical hero. That probably won't change. What is changing is the content of the story. I do like that the story is taking form into something bigger than one or two short stories. What I would like to see more of is what grabbed me in the first place. Different writing, different stories and anything that is simply not what every other comic has. I feel Faith has the potential to break the standard comic mold. I think if continues to walk the unbeaten path the comic has a bright future. But, if it's going to mimic every other superhero comic out there then it will definitely lose my interest.

Faith #12

I definitely liked the drunk cat part. I guess having a black cat of my own made it personally humorous. I enjoyed this issue more than the last few. There was a bit of a downturn with Faith struggling personally and the lack of movement in the story. This issue brought the action back along with Faith's determination. It's good to see her not doubting herself and ready to kick some bad guy ass!

Fence #1

Dec 22, 2017

I'm a big fan of C.S. Pacat and her Captive Prince series, so when I heard she was collaborating to make a comic, I just had give it a try. Fencing, from what I can tell, is a new theme in English comics. Though I don't know a lot about fencing, the comic does a really good job introducing both the sport and the characters. It had just the right amount of action balanced with dialogue and a twist at the end. Also, because I know that both C.S. Pacat and Johanna the Mad are anime/manga fans, it was fun to see the influence of sports manga gleam through. I really enjoyed this comic and I really look forward to future issues!

Fence #2

Specifically, I like the character designs and the dialogue. I'm a huge fan of characters having depth and this is a comic that excels at it. As a bit of a side character, I love Bobby, especially their "vision". I hope to see more of them! Read the comic and see what I mean. I also like the extra at the end showing Nicholas poor report card and a bit more insight to what is going on behind the scenes. I am also very happy that the coach is a woman of color. There are so many good things in this comic, that I would highly recommend it to anyone!
