Cap'n Dinosaur One Shot #1

Jul 19, 2014

This is not an example of a fantastic story or a ground breaking concept. However, Cap'n Dinosaur could be a manual on how to write a comic book. Comicraft's lettering is phenomenal as always, Kane's art is never hard to understand, and Kek-W is able to describe the very strange events without resorting to a Claremont level of explanation. If you find yourself longing for the comics of yesterday, this one shot is definitely for you.

Dead Vengeance #1

Sep 16, 2015

Dead Vengeance #1 is dark, campy, funny, and sometimes even a little heartbreaking. The work of the entire team is on point and must a read for fans of stories that put characters first. If this isn't on your pull list, you better have a good reason.

Escape from New York #7

Jun 17, 2015

Escape From New York #7 is as strange and wonderful as ever and the team seems to be finding their stride together. The world feels alive and the characters believable which is why this is one of the first books that I pick out of my ever growing stack of comics each month.

Godkiller: Walk Among Us #1

Oct 27, 2014

At the end of the day, God Killer is an insane take on horror, sci-fi, and adventure that is strange to look at but never difficult to understand. If issue 1 is a fair measurement, this book is something that would a tragedy to miss.

Godkiller: Walk Among Us #2

Nov 17, 2014

If you want to step into a world where weaponized orgasms are thing and each page gets a little more messed up and depressing, this is your book. The joint effort of Wieszcsyk and Pizzolo help to tell a story that feels alive and is a definite page turner. The insanity of Godkiller is something that I just can't resist or recommend enough.

New Avengers (2013) Annual #1

Jun 28, 2014

In conclusion, go buy this book. If you don't, you are missing out on one of the best books that I have read this year. "New Avengers Annual" #1 is a work of art and I will be crossing my fingers that Marvel gives this team a shot at a Dr. Strange solo book.

Serving Supes #1

Sep 16, 2015

In the end, Serving Supes is a great concept that falls under its own weightdue to some problems with execution. If the team can overcome the pacing problems, think up some smarter jokes, and hire a letterer, I wouldn't mind coming back to see what the Ohuang brothers are up to.

Supreme: Blue Rose #1

Jul 25, 2014

Overall, I would definitely recommend buying this book and seeing if it sticks to you like it stuck to me. From the crafted dialogue or dreamlike art, Supreme: Blue Rose is teeming with personality and mystery that has left me in anticipation of next month's issue.

Terrible Lizard #1

Nov 4, 2014

An all ages title which might need to be stockpiled for 2-3 issues before reading this to a younger audience, otherwise they might not come back for more.

The Rook #1

Oct 21, 2015

Overall, I feel as though Rook will be a fun adventure, but not one that I would like to watch unfold as a monthly title. Perhaps it will be more rewarding of a tale in trade.
