Translucid #1 |
Apr 29, 2014 |
Translucid is off to a pretty good start, with some interesting, if clich, characters and a unique frame story. If Echert and Sanchez can maintain this level of intrigue the story will likely be a success. Translucid #1 is worth picking up if you like a classic hero-villain nemesis story. For that, it gets a solid 4/5 stars from me. |

The Midas Flesh #6 |
Jun 1, 2014 |
This week The Midas Flesh fell victim to its own attempts at intensity. While there was absolute potential and some excellent moments, this issue lacks the careful writing the previous issues have had. I give The Midas Flesh a solid 4/5, with the understanding that the art is what saved this issue. |

Sovereign #1 |
Mar 30, 2014 |
Sovereign has potential. There are a few kinks that need to be worked out before it can really be as good as it has the potential to be, but theres a very solid foundation for a fantastic story. Right now it reads a bit like A Game of Thrones with less satisfying characterization, but Robersons writing has good direction, and I have high hopes. If you like fantasy, give this story a shot. |
