Deathstroke (2014) #5 |
Mar 5, 2015 |
So overall I think this has been a really good, solid title that is definitely going from strength to strength. Its probably not going to be a favourite of someone without much knowledge of the character but if you like Deathstroke as an anti-hero you will enjoy this book. |

The Walking Dead #139 |

A really solid read, we are starting to learn more about the communities and how all our favourite characters are living. There has been some more character development taking place in the absence of any action. But with Carl having gone to follow The Whisperers in search of Lydia, action must certainly be around the corner. |

The Walking Dead #140 |

Overall a solid and enjoyable issue, the series is starting to pick up the pace. I just wonder though how much longer they can stretch things out that maybe should have been resolved a couple of issues ago. However when issues are coming out every two weeks as they have lately; they can afford to go as slow as they like. |

The Walking Dead #142 |

So overall a really good issue, with some of the stories starting to overlap and bring everything together; after a few hectic issues that have been all over the place and lacking any real direction. |

The Walking Dead #138 |

Overall this issue was enjoyable but ultimately forgettable. It answered a couple of questions from the previous issue mainly what happened to Maggie. The series has stagnated a bit since the epic battle with Negan and the Saviours concluded. While the action since then has been limited, what the books have been focusing on more is character development. But with two books planned for March it seems that Robert Kirkman has something up his sleeve and I imagine it has something to do with the Whisperers. The one thing we are all asking isWhere is Michonne? |

Deathstroke (2014) #6 |
Apr 6, 2015 |
Its funny that I said last month that it was the strongest issue so far and unfortunately this issue has been the opposite. It just felt a bit rushed, possibly because of the upcoming Convergence event and all the covers Daniel is doing for that, on top of trying to write and pencil Deathstroke I cant imagine how difficult and time consuming that would be. When Convergence ends and Deathstroke picks up again in June, we will see a co-writer in James Bonny join the book. Hopefully he can share the work load and let Daniel concentrate more on the pencils. Its not like Daniel is a bad writer, far from it, the first three issues of Deathstroke have gone to second printing which is no small feat. It just seems a bit of help will make the new story arc epic. And with a story arc name like Godkiller, my hopes and expectations are very high. |
