Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman #23
Feb 10, 2015 |
Sensation Comics #23 is a welcome addition to the series, not only opening up new doors for Wonder Woman, but also pushing the boundaries on what we know the character could be. Creators have portrayed the character as wound rather tight over the years (and not in the very literal way Marston wrote it), but with the recent surge of varied depictions of female superheroes, Wonder Woman is finally fleshing out the way she deserves. |

The New 52: Futures End #1
May 9, 2014 |
Despite some missteps, Futures End #1 is not only competent, but compelling. This is a chance to enjoy a DC event created by top talent without having to know a lot of character history or continuity. |

The New 52: Futures End #10
Jul 11, 2014 |
Futures End #10 both starts and ends with a bang. The series is not perfect, nor is it extraordinary in comparison to some of the more experimental comics in the industry, but its potential is now clear. And is it glorious! |

The Woods #11
Mar 10, 2015 |
Tynion is used to relying on invoking fear in his readers in order to keep them entertained in spite of his other projects flaws, but Dialynas style is not scary. Not only does The Woods not have solid characters, but it also doesnt present any symbolism or themes in order to give its story depth. What is it that the readers of this series are supposed to be reading for? Any series should have a clear answer for that question by the end of a third issue, not still stumbling around trying to find a point after almost a year. |
