Blood & Thunder #8 continues to deliver some awesome art. The story has picked up a bit and draws some intrigue into this planet we find ourselves on. But Unfortunately for the second issue in a row we find ourselves not dealing with the greater agenda outlined in earlier issues. I enjoy grand world building and complex stories, but when these elements overshadow the main narrative and contribute less value, I find it a rather perplexing choice. The series still holds plenty of promise, and perhaps everything will eventually come together. Yet I get the sense we've reached a crucial point where things need to move decisively in one direction or the other.

Assorted Crisis Events #7 delivers a fun and weird story with some amazing art. The message is a little lacking but that doesn't take away from the entertainment value from the story itself. If you are looking for a weird and unique story this issue and series is definitely for you.

Hornsby & Halo #12 is a fun read that also brings the reader in and makes them want more. As the story moves forward the stakes are being raised, well the mystery of what lies ahead really ropes the reader in. If you are looking for a different and whimsical story and series, this should be on your list of what to pick up at the shop this week.

Devil's Luck: A Hailstone Story #1 is a good and vague first issue in this limited series. Introducing the reader to the cast of characters, well not overplaying the hand they are dealing us, makes for an enjoyable reading experience. The book does a very good job of setting the table for where we will be going to in this series. This is a worthwhile book to check out today on Comixology and furthermore make sure you set up alerts, so you are notified when the next issue drops.

The Phantom #3 is a great continuation of the story that leaves the reader on the edge of their seat by the end of the issue. Asif and the Phantom are a perfect ying and yang with one being pure good while the other is pure evil. If you're interested in a new perspective on superheroes, you might want to check out The Phantom. Grab a copy at the LCS and give this book a shot.

The Terminator: Metal #3 is another good entry in this series. Taking a time period story and injecting a Terminator into the mix really works and is very entertaining. The anthology style of this series really lends itself to this franchise and fits it like a glove. If you are a Terminator fan or just like one and done stories, this is a series you should definitely check out.

ThunderCats: Lost #9 sets the table perfectly for where this universe is going. The drama of truths that our heroes knew nothing of really makes for some tense situations in the issue. It can be a difficult task to bridge a gap in a story, but this issue does that masterfully. This series and universe are one of the best on the shelves and if you haven't been reading it, it may be time for you to give it a chance.

Eat Your Young #4 is a crazy but fun issue in this tremendous series. It has all of the family drama we've come to expect, well delivering some crazy relations and some kick ass violence. If you are looking for a crazy and unique action book, this is a must pick up at the shop this week.

Geiger #19 really nails the story matter and the return of Ashley Arden. The revenge tour of the Glowing Woman leaves the reader on the edge of their seat waiting for more. Well, the tease in the epilogue will have readers excited for Tariq's return next month and the beginning of the crossover event. Geiger is one of the most well-rounded books on the shelves of the LCS and should definitely be on everyone's Pull List.

The Terminator: Santa Claus is Coming to Town #1 is an excellent holiday tie in, that captures not just the holiday season, but also The Terminator franchise. Where a lot of holiday specials feel forced and sacrifice either the holiday part or the actual franchise part, this issue nails both. If you are looking for a great holiday book at the LCS this week, you should definitely grab a copy for yourself and the Christmas lovers in your circle.

Marvel Knights: The Punisher #3 is an emotional rollercoaster with some heavy and graphic content. The dark and deep storytelling, along with the graphic art won't be for everyone. Fortunately, for those who enjoy the more adult centered themes this issue will be great for them. This story is really heating up and if you don't want to miss what's next make sure this is on your Pull List.

Godzilla #5 is a near perfect penultimate issue and really ups the ante for what's to come next issue. The fight sequences were great and immersed the reader. But more important than that is the big reveal at the end of the issue which is completely surprising. This is a must-have issue and is also my Pick of the Week. So, get down to your LCS, grab a copy, and add this title to your Pull List so you won't miss next month's huge final issue.

It Killed Everyone But Me #4 is an entertaining and heart pounding penultimate book for this series. Between the mystery and horror of the actual story and the truly terrifying art that goes along with it. This book and series are a must read for any horror fans. Make sure to hit up your LCS this week and grab yourself a copy and also make sure to lock in a copy of the final issue while you are there as well.

Kill All Immortals II #2 is a fantastic joy ride that takes you on one hell of a ride. This story really has it all and leaves you wanting more. Even though this is only issue two, the story is moving at an awesome pace and really hooks the reader in. This is a definite must pick up, and there is no reason that this series shouldn't already be on your Pull List at the LCS.

Speed Racer #5 is a ruckus action packed joy ride, with some of the best racing scenes in not just the series but the industry as a whole. Every issue in this series seems to out due the issue before it. This is a title that should be on your list to pick up this week at the LCS, and you should strongly think about adding this series to your Pull List as well.

Spider-Man & Wolverine #8 is an amazing issue that not just delivers some bad ass action but also delivers some real emotional and thought provoking scenarios. The creative team really out did themselves with the introduction of the Revengers. This story arc has been fantastic and damn near perfect. This is a book and series that you should give a shot to. It will definitely exceed your expectations and leave you wanting more.

Devil on my Shoulder #1is a wonderfully disturbing story that really captures the essence of revenge horror. The graphic and disturbing nature of issue one is needed to really make the reader feel sympathy and later anger, so going forward we will be behind the revenge killings. Just based on how disturbing issue one is, has me excited as a horror fan about what will happen next. If you love horror and revenge stories this will be the book for you. Head to the LCS, grab a copy, give it a read, and then promptly add this title to your Pull List.

I Saw Santa #1 is an awesome Christmas horror story that will make all horror fans rejoice. The violence and graphic nature of this book will make it not for everyone. However, if you are a fan of the Terrifier series this book will hit the spot for you. Personally, I can't wait for the second book and to see what comes next. This is my Pick of the Week and if you are a horror fan you need to run to the LCS and secure your copy NOW!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #13 really kicks off the new creative era with a bang. The creative team really hit a homerun with this initial issue. Continuing the amazing story that we have been following, while at the same time adding some awesome elements that will surely drive the story forward. The TMNT Universe is in amazing hands and if this first issue is any indication we are in for one heck of a ride. This book is my Pick of the Week, and this is a must have issue for every comic fan and collector.
