Harrow County #1 |
Apr 22, 2015 |
With its roots set deeply in Southern mysticisms, Harrow County looks to deliver chills by the boatload. With the first issue off to a great start, I eagerly await the darkness to follow, and look forward to what Bunn and Crook will bring to the table. Prepare from some Southern-fried horror in Harrow County. |

Frankenstein (2015): Underground #1 |
Feb 25, 2015 |
Frankenstein Underground is the start of something wonderful. Its dark and Lovecraftian tone jells perfectly with the character of Frankenstein's monster. With such an all-star creative team behind the project, I eagerly await what darkness our Franken-friend is poised to plumb. |

Colder: The Bad Seed #1 |
Oct 22, 2014 |
With Colder #1 being the first of a five-part min-series, I am hooked and ready for more. The characters are interesting, the setting is unique, and the villain is cause for me to fish out the old nightlight I promised myself I'd never use. The creative team behind this book is a match made in hell, and that chill you feel running up your spine isn't your imagination, it's Colder. |

Zombie Tramp (2014) #1 |
Jul 30, 2014 |
Zombie Tramp's biggest draw may be the one aspect that pushes me away. Not everyone is looking for a traditional comic, and some may enjoy Zombie Tramp for its unconventional look at the genre, but it lacks the ingredients of a good story. To the uninitiated, they may find Janey to be an impossibly proportioned sex object, whose only goal is to get into vaguely erotic situations and rip her way out. What seems like an attempt to create a powerful female character falls flat, resulting in an over-sexualized murder machine. |

The Shadow #0 |
Jul 23, 2014 |
Utilizing a character that has existed for the better part of a century is a daunting task, let alone one that has remained largely unchanged since its inception. As a longtime fan of the character, I am very excited to see where the latest iteration of The Shadow goes. Not pulling any punches and blasting, pistols first off the page, The Shadow will be a series to keep an eye on. |
