D4VE (IDW) #2 |
Mar 24, 2015 |
Overall, this issue was a nice transition into what's about to come. It showed D4ve's family life in crumbles, but also progressed the larger arc with the K'laar alien invasion. Will D4ve find the approval of his son? Will the aliens finally make their move? Will D4ve find his vigor again? I think all of these questions will be answered in the next issue, so we'll just have to wait and find out. |

Miami Vice Remix #1 |
Mar 23, 2015 |
Overall, I found Miami Vice: Remix #1 to be a strong start. The story was fun, the characters fit the era, and the art style, though it gets lost a few times, is great for where the issue wants to go. I'm excited to see where the next issue and story arc will take me. Whatever twists and turns happen, I know that they will take me back to the 80s. |

The Fly: Outbreak #1 |
Mar 17, 2015 |
Overall, The Fly: Outbreak #1 did not live up to the hype I imagined when I heard Cronenberg's The Fly was getting a comic sequel. The story relied too heavily on a sequel that was not received very well, and the whole issue felt more like a sequel in name than in content. Though it could have started off stronger, I do have inklings that there's something more in store for the next issues to come. |
