These Savage Shores #4

May 10, 2019

These Savage Shores is as beautiful as it is bloody. Writer Ram V entrusts his audience with the work it takes to reconcile these conflicting forces. His story is soaked in contradiction. It's swift and stagnant, brutal and nurturing.

These Savage Shores #5

Oct 11, 2019

I want you to read These Savage Shores. I want you to feel what it feels. To get lost and be found in a new clarity. To face down eternity, and the echoes of yourself that will outlast you momentarily but surely fade away, and still make choices that define you. Let it humble you, strip you bare, take what you have, and then allow yourself to fill up again, with the colors, the breeze, and the integrity within These Savage Shores. And you will know then, that this is how you are made, over and over again.

Euthanauts #5

Jan 15, 2019

The art in this series continues to enchant. The layouts as well as the coloring express deeper levels of the story that words on their own would simply fall short of. Just as I begin to turn every page, a tiny, excited voice in the back of my mind is hoping for, and chanting, "two-page spread! Two-page spread!"

Collapser #1

Jul 22, 2019

Writers Mikey Way and Shaun Simon deliver a thrilling adventure into Liam's world. It's rare in stories to truly be along for the same ride as a character, but as I read through Collapser, I felt what Liam felt, I was shocked by what shocked Liam. It is such a ride to read this book.

Man-Eaters #1

Sep 14, 2018

So this isn't for the ones who couldn't meet Cain at the table. This one is for us. The ones who don't use women's bodies to delegitimize them. Periods = Power, and having a body that gets a period does not make you a subgenre. In this world, tampons are the resistance. This is for us. Whether you get a period or not. So, make a Girl Power playlist. Read Man-Eaters. And don't apologize when a pad falls out of your purse.

Strayed #2

Sep 16, 2019

Writer Carlos Giffoni has slipped us a complex pill to swallow after reeling us in with an astral-projecting space cat. He started me off with omfg CUUTE and left me with how can I improve upon the landscape in society which allows the exploitation and colonization of the many to profit the few? And is it possible to change that trajectory when you think of these people as having deep-seated fears of mortality and convince them to stop building monuments of wealth to themselves, or are some people just void of all empathy for the world around them?

Unearth #1

Jun 18, 2019

As we journey beyond issue #1, I expect we'll find ourselves questioning the cultural elements that shape not just our fears, but the ways in which we cope with those fears. Even more compelling will be seeing how far these creators can stretch their clearly masterful capabilities of serving us beauty alongside absolutely sickening horror.

Witch Hammer #1

Nov 29, 2018

Readers of Witch Hammer will want more Witch Hammer. The story is the tip of an iceberg filled with questions about faith, about reality, about why we search for validation or revenge in this world, and especially, what happens next " in life, in death, and in Witch Hammer. It's all up for you to decide. This story deserves more that the 60 pages it was given. I will give you my money, AfterShock, to give me more Witch Hammer.

Unnatural #1

Jul 5, 2018

Can you choose your fantasies? Or are they a wolf in the depths of your brain, hunting and stalking your mind like prey? Twisting your thoughts around its finger as you lie in bed, as you fall asleep, as you dream. Do we own our desires or do they own us? From where do they come? If these questions paired with a bit of nudity and an overt social-political commentary on modern marriage sound like your bag, then Unnatural was made for you.
