I really enjoyed this comic, but most of the reason is because of Corbens incredible art style which brings new life to old stories. Poe is my favorite writer and I have read these stories time and again, but give me an adaptation by Corben and you have made me a very happy comic reader! I definitely recommend it for your Halloween reading!

The art is very fitting of a science fiction comic. Some great outer space scenes, fun characters and exciting action scenes are penciled beautifully giving you a cinematic feel. This is a fun read and definitely worth picking up.

There is a lot of interesting stuff here, but also a lot of clich. I feel like I have read too many supernatural/occult comics and it is hard to bring something new to the table. Im very forgiving with comic books, but this one just didn't grab me. It isnt a bad read and I think it has potential to be greater, but as far as Im concerned it just did not grab me and I really dont care to read issue number 2.
