Material #3

I revel in the material of Material. Read every page with a critical eye and you especially dont want to miss the amazing essays in the back. Examine every detail. Evaluate the material. Look up what you dont know, learn, and share the richness of this book. |

The Surface #3
Jun 17, 2015 |
There will never be exact coordinates. The series will end, but the ideas and questioning this team has created will live on. For now, lets bask in this issue. I doubt any two people will have the same reading, which is a sign of a damn good book. Reading The Surface is a reminder that interpretation is key to our existence and important to gather perspectives. Here, so much is laid out and layered, and theres the explicit invitation to keep learning. |

Young Terrorists #1
Jun 17, 2015 |
Its a richly beautiful and complicated comic made even more impressive by Nahuelpans art that captures a gritty anger and ugliness of the world with such sharp lines within outstanding panel composition. At just seven bucks, this first issue is basically a steal for more than 80 pages of serious entertainment. The biggest threat to the insidious chokehold of the objectifying oppressor is self-awareness on the part of the oppressed, so do your part: open your eyes and read this book. If theres some list youre put on for buying this, then itll probably just prove the governments afraid of education and comics. Totally worth it. |

No Mercy #2

Even if youre not a fan of horror or typically scary things, No Mercy is more than worth checking out. Its surprising how effective good coloring of a mangled bus can be to scare the hell out of someone. |

We Can Never Go Home #2
May 6, 2015 |
Were left on an even more intense cliffhanger than before as any illusion of safety is at risk yet again. Now its all about the consequences and justifications. All we can do is wait in anticipation for the next issue and listen to some Missions of Burma and hope that alls not lost and this is not a waste. |

We Can Never Go Home #3
Jun 10, 2015 |
There's something so strangely beautiful and simply punk to this book that you've just gotta root for these two to kiss, blast "Damaged Goods" by Gang Of Four on repeat, and take over the world. |

Pisces #1
Apr 29, 2015 |
Its both exciting and awfully dreadful to feel lost, and its in this dark disconnect that Pisces thrives. The lack of understanding isnt unsatisfying; it just leaves you hungry for more details in the second issue. Theres an abyss waiting Dillion and plenty of darkness in store for the rest of the series. |

Pisces #3

Whatever combination of astrological, religious, and mythological meaning, Pisces is a work of art that showcases a complex dualistic approach to understanding PTSD though horror and space. |

Things are looking weirder in this town each issue and will probably continue to get even more engaging the more blobs of aliens appear and corpse parts disappear. |

Strange Fruit #1

Going into this comic blindly, I was shocked by how much I didn't like it, but more annoyed that I want to know where it's going. There are three issues left and as many problems I have with it, I want to know why this exists. |
