All Eight Eyes (2023) #1

Apr 17, 2023

While the concept and story in this new comic from Foxe and Kowalski, the tempo was far too fast. The debut issue had the feeling of squishing multiple issues into one to kick things off.

Fragmentation (2023) OGN

Mar 8, 2023

But what really sets this book apart is its attention to detail. Every panel feels like it was crafted with precision and care; each background character felt alive thanks to Lobel's pencil work bringing them to life with expression and movement. Even small details like clothing folds or subtle facial expressions were included just enough to give the characters more depth without overwhelming readers with unnecessary information. The dialogue between characters was also well written and believable; nothing felt forced or out-of-place which kept us engaged throughout our read-through!

Mom Breaks The Internet (2023) #1

Jun 7, 2023

However, the plot of the comic fell short of our expectations. While we appreciated the overall message of the story, which encourages women to stand up for themselves and take action against injustice, the execution left a lot to be desired. The pacing was off, making it difficult to become invested in the characters and their motivations. Additionally, the dialogue was stilted at times, lacking the natural flow that we expect from a comic book. It felt as though the authors were trying too hard to make a point, rather than letting the story speak for itself.

Monarch (2023) #1

Feb 9, 2023

Overall, Monarch #1 has a lot going for it great illustrations and lettering combined with an interesting plot that takes place in a unique setting like Compton makes this comic worth checking out for any comic book fan. However, as far as first issues go, some may find that this one falls short due to its slow pacing and scattered structure which fails to effectively tie all its elements together though hopefully future issues will improve upon that! So if you're looking for something new to read or love alien invasion stories than give Monarch #1 a chance!

Sirens of the City (2023) #1

Jul 11, 2023

Sirens of the City #1 is a fantastic urban fantasy comic that not only offers great artwork and storytelling, but also a compelling message. It tackles the issue of bodily autonomy in a patriarchal world, and its 1980s New York setting adds grit and atmosphere to the tale. Layla, the main character, is a flawed but compelling heroine who takes center stage and shines in every scene.
