Moreci, Malhotra, Boyd and Ferrier reach new limits (pun intended) with this first issue which has all the makings of the next must read/must own/got to have series.

Issue three of Art Monster continues to effectively tell a larger story with its smaller but far more important pieces. Holt breathes life into a wonderful cast of characters who usher along a far darker story while Ciregia's art enhances and on many pages tells its own wonderful story. Good art takes time and Art Monster is worth yours.

Black Market is a smart and cerebral approach to a story featuring superheroes. Superheros have been broken down in the non traditional sense before but Black Market still finds a way to present a fresh twist to the genre. Barbiere's non powered characters drive a story that offers thoughtful moral arguments. Santos' art gifts the reader with colorful pages and unique layouts. If you are soured on the big two's supes then pick up Black Market this Wednesday for a clever new super hero comic.

The Outcome: Skinned is an experience, a smart and complex story and world that asks readers to accept it for it for what it is. Issue two cultivates the characters of Skinned while pushing the concept. Holt, Daniel and Gowdy have createda comic that does something different and in a crowded comic market it is exceedingly impressive.

The Final Countdown: I only have but the fondest of memories of playing Turtles In Time. Still to this day I revisit it a few times a year. Issue one of Turtles In Time lives up to its very distinguished namesake. The book is fun, beautiful and has great personality. I almost wish the team of Campbell and Allor were doing the whole series but look forward to witnessinghow the rest of the artists tackle the Turtles and their time periods. Now get started on making Hyperstone Heist, please.

If you are a fan of action movies, cop banter, leprechauns, cowboys, humor, bright colors, front facing characters, and someone possibly being a robot, then That's Because You're a Robot is for you. If you are a fan of none of those things then that's because you're a robot. Its amusing, it looks marvelous, and it might make you smile and that's all anyone can ask for. 9/10.

You know what Jack Burton always says, when a comic publisher comes to me looking to make a great comic sequel to my story, a damn near impossible task, well you look that sucker right in the eye and say…challenge accepted. Boom, Powell, Churilla have accepted that challenge and released one of the best film to comic properties to date. Big Trouble in Little China lends it's self well to comics but Powell and Churilla bring a bit of their own style and uniqueness to the story to create a comic that would work even without the charm of the film behind it.

Brass Sun opens strong and finishes even stronger. The story and world established by Edginton is enough to peak your interest but the way it unfolds and the characters living in it will instantly bring you back. Culbard's beautiful art helps further build the complex world and characters of Brass Sun. Praise be to the Cog, praise be to Brass Sun!

When I read a novel from Archaia, The Last Broadcast is exactly what I have come to expect. The story from the very opening builds intrigue and mystery with nuance and great writing. The art is well just that, a work of art. I have set a really high bar in my head when it comes to Archaia because they continue to publish some of the most beautiful and well written graphic novels in the industry. The Last Broadcast is exactly what I think of when I think Archaia. This is how to make comic books.
