Do I like the way the second arc is starting? Not really. I'm into this book because of the way the Riverdale kids reacted to suddenly having to flee for their lives from their friends and neighbors. Sabrina Spellman: Bride of Cthulhu is just not my thing. Still, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla have crafted a masterful story so far, and I'm more than interested in watching it play out all the way.

Carmine Di Giandomenico, whose name took about three tries for me to type from memory before I just grabbed the comic and looked at the cover, has been absolutelykilling it on the art, though I'd be lying if I said I didn't want cover artist Kris Anka to take over for a couple of issues. Simply put, All-New X-Factor is my favorite team book at the moment, Marvel or DC, because of how well it's been put together. It keeps me hooked from cover to cover, and there are few books that can boast that.

Dang. Also, did anyone else notice how…not six Luna was looking? It's only been thirty-odd years, I think the kid has earned the right to approach puberty. The next issue is set to feature the fallout from the press conference, and I for one cannotwait.

In other news, you may or may not be aware, but this book iscancelled as of issue #20, and fans aren't standing for it. In an effort to prolong the series even the slightest bit, the good people over on the Save ANXF Tumblrand Twitterofficially began All-New X-Factor week yesterday, and are encouraging people to create and submit things about the series. This issue certainly belonged to the underdogs, and that's something that not a lot of team books can say.

Bendis, we better get a look into what they were talking about right before suddenly pals happened, because that is a cop-out and you know it.

I've never been a terribly big Cyclops fan, and I don't know much about his dad, Corsair, but I trust in Greg Rucka to deliver a quality story, and he's yet to disappoint me.

This issue of Hawkeye is mostly silent, as that's how Clint's world is going right now. It's very much an artist's issue, and David Aja was definitely up to the task of telling a story with few words.

I only wish other Young Avengers characters could get the airtime Kate's been getting with Hawkeye, though I'm glad of all the characters to be featured in another book, it's her.

The main theme of this book is “awesome adventures”, akin to cartoons like Steven Universe, Adventure Time, and Gravity Falls, with the difference of an all-female cast. There's a great deal of representation in this comic, including a couple of campers for girls who like other girls. Cute art, snappy dialogue, and the overall mystery of what the junk is going on at this camp combine to make a fantastic read every time. Currently on its fifth issue, LumberJames is not a book to be passed over.

Axis is…definitely not going to be a book I look into.

At $9.99 for the first book, and between $13 and $15 for subsequent volumes, Morning Glories is a book that isn't terribly pricey to get invested in. I highly recommend checking it out while the number of volumes you'd have to read to understand the current issues are small.

I love this comic. It's funny, it's smart, and it feels like a book about a real person. But more importantly than all of that, it gives representation to kids who've been sorely lacking. I've been an X-Men fan for most of my life because of a Jewish girl named Kitty Pryde who can walk through walls, in whom I saw myself, only infinitely cooler. I can only hope that Muslim girls see themselves in Kamala, and become lifelong comic fans because of her.

Featuring graphic battle scenes, gratuitous drug use, swearing, and at least one count of full-frontal male nudity, Rat Queens isnota comic you lend to a younger sibling, or leave on the table when grandma comes for a visit. However, it's the perfect book to recommend to your fantasy-loving friends. The first volume is currently available for $9.99 and collects issue 1-5, pick it up at your local comic shop!

By choosing to not read Saga, you're deliberately depriving yourself of the single coolest comic Image has to offer.

Kate says she wants to live a “normal” life with a “normal” job, but her face when she fought ninjas in the first issue revealed a girl who never really left the high-flying life behind. If it takes a surprise band of siblings to get her back to the life she once knew, well, so be it.

It's a good start to a series, and frankly, while I love long story arcs, I wouldn't entirely mind seeing more done-in-one issues like this one. Here's to hoping that the Storm series has a long, long run ahead of it.

While the Sabrina book doesn't seem to be in the same continuity as Afterlife With Archie, as evidenced by Betty and Veronica practicing witchcraft and belonging to a coven themselves, it's certainly in the samestyle. Small town life, as seen through the lens of a practitioner of dark magic? Hell to the yes.

A New Beginning is really shaping up to be a great arc for new readers to jump into the world of the Walking Dead, and I can't wait to see how else the world has changed.

The Wicked and the Divine is only two issues in so far, but I'm enjoying it enough to classify it as my second favorite Image title.

This issue is another cooldown issue, of sorts, with the only narrative connecting it to the previous arc belonging to Hisako, who is still trying to get her armor to move again. I've always been a fan of the self-contained story, and this is no different though again, missing Asrar on the art.

This arc was definitely not one of my favorites, and it had something to do with the inconsistent art. Though the Dodson covers were wonderful all the way through, five different artists worked on the interiors this arc, not counting the artists that worked on the side story, Bromo Superior, in three of the issues. It was a little off putting, because not all of the art was of the same quality. Personally, I preferred Clay Mann, and hope he comes back for the next arc.
