Batman (2016) #71 |
May 15, 2019 |
This issue built the mystery successfully and kept me on the hook and guessing. Tom King is a fantastic writer doing interesting things with the characters while still referencing the past in a way that doesn't feel stale or overly nostalgic. |

Kiss: The End #2 |
May 16, 2019 |
The script itself falls into several pitfalls for me. It can feel stilted from panel to panel as if scenes are missing, and then also redundant at times (narration box: "Oh my god, it's like a set from the 70's""word balloon: "Like we're in The Warriors movie"), and the focus isn't on what I would find at all interesting about a KISS comic book. Take that with a grain of salt though, as I'm not a KISS head. Edu Menna's art is consistent and professionally executed, and I think that's one thing that other licensed series of this ilk can't always boast. |
