Wonder Woman (2011) #19 |
Apr 19, 2013 |
Goran Sudzuka and Tony Akins tackle the art together. Again, I'm sad that Cliff Chiang still hasn't rejoined the series. But Sudzaka and Akins art are so similar that I never knew when the change in artists happened. So it's nice to have that cartoony look that made me fall in love with the series in the first place. But While there are two artists here, the art does lack a great deal of detail, environments are very plain and characters, even main characters, in the background are never fully composed. |

Justice League of America (2013) #2 |

Justice League of America #2 is a great issue and proves that you don't need characters like Batman to tell a successful story. I'm very interested to see the ultimate confrontation between the two Leagues. |

Wonder Woman (2011) #18 |
Mar 22, 2013 |
Wonder Woman is a book that is a whole lot of fun. There are great characters and amazing dialogue. This issue however suffers from an unexciting battle and an even less exciting ending. However, Azzarello, as mentioned before, has been developing a much greater narrative than what's been resolved here. |

Green Arrow (2011) #18 |
Mar 11, 2013 |
The story progresses pretty significantly in this issue and while Lemire is moving pretty quickly there still manages to be a fair amount of mystery revolving this story. I have more questions now than I did last month and I can bet come April I'll be pulling my hair out. Despite some art discrepancies, this series is still delivering on its promises. |

Wonder Woman (2011) #17 |
Feb 22, 2013 |
The art here is split between Tony Akins and Dan Green. While I hate it when there are artistic breaks between issues I will say that I'm pleased that DC managed to use artists with a somewhat similar art style to Cliff Chiang. Akins and Green have similar art styles themselves and I couldn't even tell when they switched off. That being said, the art here suffers on the side of character expression. Quite often did we see a very over-exaggerated facial expression as well as far too many just plain awkward expressions from several characters. |

Justice League of America (2013) #1 |
Feb 21, 2013 |
Justice League of America #1 was better than I hoped it would be. It gives you enough to have a grasp on the characters involved, but leaves you with enough mystery and intrigue to never know what to expect. This book just jumped to the top of my pull list and I can honestly say I'm more interested to see how this series plays out more-so thanJustice League. |

Wonder Woman is an underrated book that has storytelling that often surpasses some of the more popular DC titles likeJustice League andBatman.Even if this issue still doesn't deliver on the fight, it does give readers more of a reason to pick up the next issue. |
