Bounty hunter Shexie Meiren has sped off in search of her next target - an assassin named Ke Ci who has been hired by the Liu Mang Triad to kill Governor Zhe. As she begins her investigation, the ruthless Liu Mang puts his pieces into play in preparation for the Governor's public speech, where Ke Ci is to make his hit. After reading this issue, I have a much better sense of all the players on the board and how they might interact. Everything seems set to tell a story that plays upon the cliches of the genre while still feeling fresh and fun. If you like Asian gangster stories, noir stories, or stories featuring a strong female lead, this book just might be perfect for you. Four Stars! Read Full Review
