King Arthur rises from the dead to a realm he suspects is Avalon, only to discover that he has awoken instead to a post-apocalyptic England ravaged by zombies. While hunted by the dead, Arthur is rescued by a mysterious savior, Mr. Rice, who leads him to an old friend who holds the clues to Arthur's presence in this futuristic world.
What brief research I did yielded some unfortunate information: it appears that, since this issue came out in 2012, only one other issue has been published. Now, it would be unreasonable to expect Mr. Flores to be as prolific a workhorse as, say, a Dave Sim, but its still disheartening news considering how exceptional this book is otherwise. Certainly worth a read if you want another zombie book. And maybe the highest praise I can offer a zombie book is that it might be worth a read even if you don't. Read Full Review
