Something sinister is lurking behind the cameras of world-famous World Studios, and it may not be human. When Detective Henry Barrymore is approached by a mysterious woman to investigate her husband's disappearance, he hardly expects to be embroiled in the workings of a mysterious cult who seem to have control over movie monsters. A series called Monster World was bound to attract my attention. So far, things are looking pretty damn good. I’m really excited to see where this series goes. I am reminded of the movie Cursed, when werewolves are set loose in LA. I’m hoping we get to see some of the classic monsters as well as Kowalski’s new creations. We’ll have to keep reading to see! Monster World is a comic that's tailor made for me. It's a mix of private eye noir and good old-fashioned monsters that delivers on every level. Fans of monsters, noir, and classic pulp-type stories or horror movies should check out this new title from American Gothic Press. Ask your local comic shop to order a copy if they don't have it on the rack. Read Full Review
Like I said, this comic isn't perfect, but there is just something about it that I really enjoyed. I was glad to be able to read two issues back-to-back and would definitely encourage others to do the same. I'm in it for the long run as I'd really like to see which other tropes will be used and how everything will play out in the end. Read Full Review
