For only $1 how could I not give this book a try? A fun groundwork laying issue with cool art. I'll be back next month, even at full price. Read Full Review

I actually like this series more than the first volume so far, but that will ultimately be decided by where the story goes from here. It looks like it’s attempting to be bigger and bolder so we’ll definitely have to wait and see. For me it was a good read and definitely worth picking up if you either: A) enjoyed the first series or B) enjoy a modern day adventure story riddled with magic… and a sassy cat that throws down any chance it gets. And if my review didn’t sell you on it, then it’s only a dollar… just buy it already. Read Full Review

This is the latest issue in Aspen's "10 for 10" series, so the comic only costs a dollar - a good investment to see if this is your kind of magic. Read Full Review

All-in-all Charismagic #1 takes a big leap in its first issue of this new volume, never giving the reader time to pause and think. But thats a good thing. A lot of the story is given to you when its necessary to move the plot along. Read Full Review

As this "10 for 10" experiment continues, I'm getting a bountiful sample of the variety Aspen offers readers, but none of the issues have really hooked me enough to merit further investigation into the second issues where the price nearly quadruples. "Charismagic" #1 is clearly more viable to readers familiar with the previous story, but does a decent enough job offering a nice character-defining opening chapter for new readers. It's just not an overly compelling opening chapter at this point. Read Full Review

While still relying heavily on past history, this reboot gets us up to speed quickly and effectively. This title isn't my cup of tea, but shows potential and layers of character and story that is sure to please some readers. Only $1, so its certainly worth giving it a shot!
