    Of course, Tidalpool's real danger arises from his ability to lead a giant squid and his minions on an attack on the mainland. The squid proves a vicious opponent for Starlette and Rookie, but where is Critter? Paradox, the time traveler, has a record of Critter's appearance in this battle, but a confluence of events seems to put time out of joint. To quote another time traveler: "Time can be rewritten."     If you're looking for a superhero book that just focuses onbeing a hero, beating the bad guys and doesn't worry about collateral damage,police interference and most of all mega-super crossover events then pick upCritter asap. It's a fun book that still takes the world and the danger veryseriously, but it captures a different experience when compared to othersuperhero books today. I wouldn't call it old-fashion as some might say, but itjust doesn't focus on cramming the real world into the book but rather lets itbe a good work of fiction. Read Full Review
