Jules Verne meets Star Trek in Æther & Empire, a tale of adventure, mystery, and terror from Blue Juice Comics! In London, Barnaby Dunwood and his group of eager scientists have control of a dangerous expedition seized from them, and placed in the hands of England's newest hero, Royal Navy Captain James Bristow.
Overall, this issue mixes political intrigue with murder mystery in a story arc that is starting to remind of movies like Leviathan and The Thing. The story by Horan, is rife with suspense and makes the 19th century sound interesting. The art by Dazo, is beautiful. Altogether, an excellent issue, which only proves this creative tea is rewriting how an action adventure should play out. Read Full Review
This continues to be an excellent Steampunk adventure. The story is still in its early phases, setting up the characters and situations. There's not any action in this issue, but it's still an entertaining read. Read Full Review
Blue Juice Comics knows how to put a great creative team together, and publish some truly fascinating stories. Aether and Empire is quickly becoming another powerhouse in their growing arsenal, and in just two short issues Mike Horan, Bong Ty Dazo and Tim Yates have crafted a compelling story that can barely be contained on the page.
