    As first issues go, this ranks up there with the best of 'em. If you have any interest in the character--as a longtime fan or someone newly curious--I highly recommend checking this out. This was one of my most-anticipated comics this year--on par with anticipation for DC's Blackest Night #8 conclusion...and it held up to that expectation, and leaves me very interested in the next issue and where the story's going to go.     Boom Studios delivers the best all ages books on the market, and Darkwing Duck is certainly no exception. To draw a movie comparison, this feels very much like a Pixar film. With an inherent charm that draws children in, but also those quick jabs at modern pop culture that adults get a kick out of, this is a comic book that fans of any age can enjoy. Read Full Review

    Even though it sounds like a dreary start to what should be a fun all-ages comic, by the end of Darkwing Duck #1 its clear that the expected superhero action and slapstick arent too far off for this series. Plus, Darkwing Duck is an ongoing series, so it wont be over in four issues. Lets hope its a success. Read Full Review
