    Overall I found Barker's and Seifert's writing excellent - the story never felt slow, and I enjoyed seeing the female Cenobite in a different role. Dark Watch #1 is really good - but it's clearly not a stand-alone, so I would mostly recommend this to fans of the franchise, specifically, the other Hellraiser titles.  Read Full Review

    "Hellraiser: The Dark Watch" #1 goes into a different direction in this promising new beginning. With the creative team-up of Barker and Seifert, they breathe new life into the franchise that has lasted after many disappointing sequels. While this re-imagination is geared to bring in new readers, longtime fans will be pleased the comic is close in tone to the first two "Hellraiser" movies. Read Full Review

    The mystery of who these people are and how they're connected definitely keeps the reader invested, it may not be the best book on the stands, but I'm at least interested to see what happens next. Read Full Review
