The weirder revisionist history elements are off-set by writer Dennis Hopeless' excellent grasp on Rhodes' unique and distinctive voice, and illustrator Jake Elphick does an incredible job capturing the charisma and charm that made Rhodes such a powerful and captivating presence even in the twilight years of his career as an elder statesman within the WWE. This is a fabulous start to a mini-series featuring the fresh faces of WWE's developmental brand, NXT. The talent in NXT is second to none and has catapulted green newbies into superstars. Dusty Rhodes takes on a backstage tour, introducing us to talent that would soon become household names. Great writing, fun art, and characters that we all know and now love. Read Full Review
As first editions goes, WWE: NXT Takeover shows plenty of promise for the future. For a company that has only been in existence for a few years, NXT already has an incredibly rich history, and I look forward to seeing what Boom! Studios can do with it in the coming editions. Read Full Review
