Taking a break from the stress of reality in London, Angel and Fred hop on a ferry to Angels homeland! Though both were hoping for a leisurely holiday, something is rotten in the Emerald Isle. Angel cant resist helping the helplessbut will that be the best thing for Fred . . . and Illyria?

    Be it Buffy or Angel & Faith you never get bored with a good fight against abused magic. There is a lot to be creative with when it comes to magic, and that was properly taken advantage of by the art team. What's notable about these witches are that they aren't powerful or any less human than the average. It's easy to tell they are up to no good. They come off as the kind who dabble in it and it shows by the way they apply magic to their own needs. That manipulation is seen by the fear they instilled in those they sought to control. Will Conrad never fails in capturing those human features that bring a character to life. Especially when it comes to those such as Spike who he gets the smug look just right. Beyond this the quality of the artwork is consistent which is all you could really ask for with a story more grounded. Read Full Review

    This intermediary issue just didn't do it for me this time. To be fair, I can't recall of many that have. In recent memory, Billy the Vampire Slayer was good, but also had two issues to work through its story. These issues will probably always suffer in something like Buffy or Angel, which deal more in heavy serialization rather than procedural. Read Full Review
