One where the pair will have to strive to avoid Angelus, Darla, and pirates on the high seas as they search for a precious artifact that could lead to saving the future!
Angel's violent past is always a good source for stories and Bechko has crafted a terrific tale. Having Darla in the mix and the heroes trapped on a ship with the vampires creates wonderful tension. Silva's art captures the beauty of the time, as well as the more monstrous natures of the undead. This is a voyage worth taking. Recommended. Read Full Review
Angel Season 11 #5 treads some dangerous waters as running into Angelus and Darla is way worse than the idea of running into Illyria during her full-on Old One days. The story started off slowly, though at the same time it was a fast read when everything comes down to retrieving the artifact before Angelus and Darla, or from them. Read Full Review
The other question left unanswered is what is the mystical beetle in the carved wooden box? What is its power and how is it connected to the dark visions of the future Angel must stop? I guess we'll have to wait and see. For fans. Read Full Review
