First-arc finale of Angel Season 11!
Angel is caught facing an unrelenting Illyria of the past, an unrelenting Illyria of the future, and an impending volcanic eruption. For him to save an entire race of demons, satisfy both Illyrias, and get himself and Fred back to the future, he will have to convince at least one of the goddesses to trust someone other than themselves-specifically, him!
It took some time to roll with this first arc, but now it is safe to say that we still have two good halves of the Buffyverse going strong into their new seasons. Angel Season 11 #4 wrapped up the first leg of this brand new adventure. Taking us deep into the heart of a character you wouldn't have expected to understand this well until now. Read Full Review

"If you take something like Cthulhu... it is completely incomprehensible and beyond all human categorization. I would argue that this storyline reduces Illyria even further, not to a set of stats, but to an entity no more alien than a TV extra in a demon suit. Points for effort, but it was misguided from the start.
