Jack's Yattering reviewed Angel Season 11 #11 Nov 22, 2017

I have been pretty harsh in my reviews of this season of ANGEL (and I stand by them). However, issue #10 and, especially, issue #11 of ANGEL SEASON 11 have been such a pleasant surprise. Everything from art to writing to story have improved. Even the characterization, which has felt way off, was a little more on point this month. The one exception, and it DOES relate to characterization, is t more

Reading this issue was like eating hot comfort food after a long and exhausting road trip. Nothing too crazy but satisfying all the same. I got used to the excellent pairing of Samnee and Waid with Daredevil and I'm glad this tried and true creative team is back on one of Marvel's marquee heroes. Welcome home Cap, we missed you.

While, by no means bad, BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER Season 11 #12 suffered from the same problems as the rest of this season...poor pacing and a few anticlimactic moments (which is, really, too bad as I loved issue #1). I didn't see ANY mention of a Season 12...which had me concerned. If this was the final season of BtVS it was not a worthy conclusion. If nothing else, and this is the end, I'm more

Can't remember the last time an event was so much fun. Snyder writes whatever the hell he wants, and it is so good. Things like Detective Chimp sitting in a bar, or the whole C.D./D.C. thing left me speechless for how good it was. And from the events of the few last pages, it seems that it's only going to get better.

A lot of nonsense in this story arc but having the Joker make that sacrifice to save Batman and keep what he stands for intact almost makes him heroic... As for Batman, he failed big time from a moral standpoint. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
