Elsewhere, the buildup that's occurred over the course of the past five issues doesn't have nearly enough payoff and while it's possible to see the nature of the threats that Gall Dennar faces in the distant past, tying into the monsters that Agent Howards and the B.P.R.D. have to fight in the present day, it remains to be seen when that will occur. The lack of payoff for this particular storyline as well as the hints of what the Black Flame is and what he might do, are B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth #129's biggest issues. Laying the bedrock for stories to come is important but it's far more interesting to read in a collected edition than month to month. And as good as this issue is, it's not so good as to escape that fact. Read Full Review
