The highlight of this issue was, of course, Clem. He lays down the law of anyone who wants to write in the book. It doesn't feel too fake-y because Harmony totally would need it explained to her like that, and Clem knows that. The little exchanges he has with Buffy and Spike are gold too. Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 10 #10 escalates the problem that is managing the Vampyr book and watching their backs for enemies that have power outside their grasp. The reveal of this new enemy makes you cringe, yet at the same time makes you scratch your head when wondering who this "old friend" is. Just more reason to see where this new story arc takes us. Visually speaking, its a really solid issue; specifically in regards to the panels depicting Spikes unfortunate predicament with the returning characters and theVampyrbook. Rebekah Isaacs nails the hilarious scenes Gage describes in his script, illustrating even better the level of absurdity reached by this story.
