Buffy and the gang come face to face with a terrifying new demon that shares a special bond with Spike, threatening his growing connection to the Slayer.
The issue leads directly into another storyline that's bound to kick up some drama, especially on the "Spuffy" front. These characters are facing a dark evil unlike anything they've ever seen, and that's not the most interesting thing going on in the book. At this point I would read an entire issue where they were all just hanging out in their apartment building talking. Gage takes characters that we already cared about and reminds us why we liked them so much to begin with. This, coupled with Isaacs' terrific artwork, makes Buffy a must-read. Read Full Review

I'm sorry for myself that I got to this late because I could have been excited for the crossover for way longer if I had read this earlier. This also brings a dynamic that, as Spike points out, has never worked in his favor. Buffy has always gone after Angel. But that's really just more of Spike's insecurities now. Christos Gage perfectly captures the spirit of the show with a balance of high stakes action and emotional interpersonal drama. The dialogue is sharp, witty, and impactful while the action is stunningly drawn by Rebekah Isaacs. Though certainly not without its faults Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 10 #15 is a satisfying conclusion to the "Relationship Status: Complicated" arc, introducing a new Big Bad that The Scoobies may not be able to handle on their own. The issue ends with the team regrouping after a marginal victory without hope of defeating the demon alone and teasing the first big crossover event since Angel's wacky Twilight adventure. A Buffy, Angel, and Spike team-up? Okay, that sounds like some serious fun. Worth a look. Read Full Review
