The Fandom Post - Josh Begley Jan 28, 2015

Conan the Avenger 10 takes us into the second act of "The Damned Horde." Events are turning on our Cimmerian, and while we all know that he'll survive, Van Lente, Ching, and Atiyeh do a great job of making Thoth-Amon into a credible, memorable threat, which is fitting given that Thoth-Amon was Conan's greatest enemy in the old Howard short stories, and not Thulsa Doom as the original Schwarzenegger movie would have you believe (he's actually Red Sonja's nemesis). Van Lente has always been great at knowing when and how to ratchet up the conflict in a story, and right now it's hard to imagine how events could get any worse. The fun part now is seeing how Conan gets out of this. If you're a Conan fan and you're not reading this, you should. Definitely check it out. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Daniel Coleman Feb 4, 2015

This issue packs in a hell of a lot. Fred Van Lente has applied the gas and is not letting up. I'm not gonna spoil any of it for you guys. If you haven't jumped on this series yet, now is the time. This issue gives you all the back story required to enjoy what happens within it. You may not know all the characters but you can understand all their motives from the narration and dialogue. As always Van Lente leaves the issue in a place that makes you want to jump straight into the next. Read Full Review
