Devil on My Shoulder #4 is the perfect ending to what has been the horror comic book series of the year. With an epic final showdown, revelations about the story that are finally revealed, and a strong tease for a possible continuation, this final issue checks every box. My only detraction is that we didn’t get more issues of this series, but hopefully that is rectified with Volume Two. This is my Pick of the Week and should be on the top of every horror comic fans list to pick up at the shops this week. If you have not been reading this series, keep your eye out for when the Trade Paperback is released and grab a copy. Read Full Review

I can’t say this was a fun series in some ways because it was just so grim and grisly. The opening installment was brutal, and the revenge side followed that just as you’d expect it would. It’s all technical strong, with solid writing and great artwork that captures this kind of thing like only Kowalski can, but it’s not something you’ll find will appeal wide and far. It’s a specific thing and it does it very, very, well. Watching Tee go through understanding what truly happened, who is behind it, and work toward stopping that and gaining a larger goal from it is solid. It’s a good arc for her, but one nobody should ever have to go through. I’m glad I took the chance on it, however, because sometimes it feels good to feed that side and what it represents.
