    Apart from the atmospheric plot, Allie's finely tuned sense of the characters enrich the dialogue and the events. Brandon's want to rid the Waite family and friends of their curse bestows to him an aspect of heroism that belies his failing body. With his bloody nose and body language, Brandon always looks as if he's literally falling apart. His brother finally accepts his destiny for the sake of his wife and child, and this deepens his character. Sarah is Brandon's heart. She seems nothing but sweet and loving. She gives Brandon strength and exemplfies what a cruel fate has been dealt to the Waites. This issue reveals the surprising nature behind that fate and is not be missed. Read Full Review
