The Master Chief and Blue Team split from their rebel allies while facing off against Covenant forces in the depths of a mine on Alpha Corvi II, a precarious human colony. The rebel forces have to cut off Covenant reinforcements, but in doing so, their plan may condemn Blue Team to certain destruction.
A new war is developing here, and this mini is so far providing the perfect experience for everyone to come to terms with what it means to fight on the same side. We might know that when all is said and done that Master Chief and Blue Team will walk out of this in one piece, but that doesn't mean you don't want to see how they overcome some big obstacles in the early days. Things are looking up! I was a little let down after the first issue, but issue #2 came roaring back and offered a fun and frantic look into the ongoing Covenant battle from both the surface, and underground. I'd like to see a little more focus on Chief himself and maybe some more characterization for the rest of the Spartans, but on a whole this was a highly entertaining issue that reassured me that this title is indeed in good hands! The art was not appealing to myself, but it was consistent. The back to back splash pages were enjoyable to look at, but it was the only appealing part of this issue visually. This is only issue two, so there is still plenty of time for this creative team to really connect and create an amazing book in future issues. Read Full Review
