Read Comic Books - Richard Dessler Jan 29, 2013

If you're not a die-hard fan of the Legend of Zelda, you can definitely skip this book. But, if you're like myself and you have a sweet Triforce tattoo, you definitely want it. There is no other video game series deserving of the treatment the Legend of Zelda is getting. We didn't celebrate Mario's birthday this way, and I'll bet you didn't even know that Metroid's 25th anniversary has already passed us by. Link stands above all other gaming icons, and I can't wait for the 50th anniversary to be even bigger! Read Full Review

The Weekly Crisis - Nevin Jones Jan 30, 2013

The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is a work of love for all Zelda fans. The creative team really wanted to give something back to the people on the 25th Anniversary of the franchise and with this book they nailed it. With tons of concept art, an official timeline, insight into the creative process, and a wonderful comic, this book is one that any Zelda fan will find worthwhile. If you like Zelda, buy it. (Sidenote: I gave this a "Buy it" rating because I can only see this as something the most hardcore of Zelda fans will want. The book is definitely a collector's item. Hundreds of pages full of concept art is not something everybody will love, but if learning all of the ins-and-outs of The Legend of Zelda is what you desire then buy this.) Read Full Review

Digitl Noob - Russ Pirozek Jan 31, 2013

While this comprehensive guide may only be for the most hardcore of fans, Hyrule Historia is an impressive collection from The Legend Of Zelda franchise. With the full gamut of chronology on full display and a nearly ridiculous amount of history and artwork to sift through, this collection is huge and exhausting. It's also well worth it, as this guide is the only one in its existence that could gather so many facts about such a beloved series and make it as terrific looking as it is. A bit too much time was spent on the latest release, Skyward Sword, but there was enough content in the other installments to keep the true fans satisfied. Any Zelda fan should grab this book in an instant, but those who aren't as big of fans may not enjoy it as much as they should. Read Full Review

Comic Bastards - Ed Allen Feb 8, 2013

Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is the essential book for Zelda enthusiasts and, given the fact that it temporarily managed to knock Fifty Shades of Grey off top of the amazon bestseller list, it looks like Dark Horse have a massive hit on their hands.
