This gripping tale of urban horror follows the lives of five lonely tenants—strangers—whose lives become intertwined when they discover a dark mark scrawled on the walls of their building. The horror sprouts quite innocently from a small seed and finds life as something otherworldly. As the walls come alive, everyone is defenseless against a brewing evil.
Reading Pixu is like digging up old films by your favorite directors; like watching the first couple movies Coppola or Kubrick made, back before they were Coppola and Kubrick, if that makes sense. The artists in Pixu aren't quite at the top of their game, but their project is stunning, and their art is amazing–it's easy to see where the greatness comes from. It's a good thing that Dark Horse is republishing this book. It was originally independently published in 2009, but now has the possibility to reach a much larger audience. I likely would never had read this if they didn't, but now it's out there for many more people to read, and is definitely worth checking out. Read Full Review
