Take a look inside the mind of one of Superman's strangest and most twisted adversaries as the original Toyman, Winslow Schott, returns to Metropolis. Plus, an alien who is everything Superman isn't is heading towards Earth. And he's not alone.

However, my biggest concern with the issue; where does this all fit? It was great to see Toyman given a revamp to spark interest in a dated character, but what is Johns plan with him? With next month starting the epic Brainiac arc, I feel like this stand-alone has no baring ramifications. By the issues conclusion Toyman isnt a threat anymore, taken completely off the playing field. Therefore, as character piece it was nice, and creepy, but I cant shake the feeling I would have been perfectly fine without it, instead moving right into the start of the Brainiac saga. I'm not a fan of Geoff Johns' Superman work (I Do love his Flash and Green Lantern work though), however I do like this issue. After nearly 15 years the Toyman we knew is back, Even though he has a few more screws loose than before. I still don't know if that robot fill-in child killer excuse is true, he obviously has himself convinced, though I still think its a side effect of Zatanna's attempt to make him see what he'd become a while before. I especially found it funny that he had no idea how old Jimmy really was.
