Unfortunately, this story bleeds out the end of this issue, without any solid clue as to where to follow. I found myself closing the cover significantly more interested in the fate of Man-Bat, but I am unable to determine where he will appear next, save for a guess in "Battle for the Cowl" #2. Following that, I would relish a chance to see Kirk Langstrom make some regular appearances elsewhere in the DC Universe. DC Comics has had a problem deciding what to do with Man-Bat. He has been a reluctant hero, a plotting villain and a mindless monster. He had a mini-series that was seemingly wiped from continuity almost as soon as it was published. Obviously this new Kirk Langstrom isn't going to be the new Batman. This is the purest example of a bad tie-in. Lack of focus, little relation to overall story and rushed art all contribute to a poor issue featuring a character that is usually pretty interesting. If you want your Man-Bat fix just wait until he is featured properly in better Battle for the Cowl books. Read Full Review
With the uselessness of recent tie-in books already adding to my distaste of these, I'm just sticking to the 3 issue "Battle For The Cowl" main book from this point.
