The original Bombshells lineup discovers how Killer Frost became a killer ice queen and end up tangled in the dangerous delusions of Hugo Strange. Then, as Faora joins the battle in Leningrad, she reveals to Supergirl what her origin is and how she is related to Faora.
Theartwork here is, in my opinion, perfect. Sometimes, depending on the subjectmatter, I appreciate greater stylization from the artists, but just as often Ienjoy what might be called a house style. If DC Comics has a house style, Iwould consider it something reminiscent of Dick Giordano and Jos Luis GarciaLopez. Not a bad combo, and the art staff for Bombshells seems to hit the targethere. Harley Quinn making a Christian Bale joke. John Constantine becoming a Hare-blazer. It is all too hip for me. It feels like a 'look how cool I am, I can flaunt comic convention' moments. It reminded me of the same sort of cheeky, 'break the 4th wall', "let's concentrate on plot C" dialogue, kind of stuff I read in Bennett's Josie and the Pussycats.
