The Fandom Post - Chris Beveridge Oct 29, 2015

As we race closer to the end of this series the stakes are being raised considerably. I'm really curious to see where Corrigan will be left at the end of all of this and what it means for the Spectre, but I'm also really on edge to see what happens to Drake and the others because of their involvement. These are characters with so much potential to tell some great creepy stories that I'm hopeful for some other similar incarnation in the future. Fawkes and Ferreyra are killing it with this book and this issue in particular just takes it up a few more notches for me. Strong storytelling with a great sense of mystery and fear about it all. Doom Rocket - Scott Southard Nov 2, 2015

With the series reaching its untimely end, Fawkes has forged an unforgettable path through Gotham's mythos. As soon as he acquired our attention and trust, he went and blew it all up (quite literally) in this month's compelling and meaningful cliffhanger. Gotham City is enormously fertile ground for stories about good and evil, and it's a shame that the majority of the sagas located in this foreboding city focus on but a fraction of the potential folklore. Gotham By Midnight breaks away from that mold while constructing its own powerful legacy. This book has flourished into a harrowing perfection. Read Full Review

The Batman Universe - Jim Remolde Oct 29, 2015

I liked this issue however I did not see too much advancement in the plot. With the bulk of this issue being a police chase, it has the appearance of being a filler issue. The most advancement we got is from Dr. Tarr and his investigation of the black flower. Does he see Justine in the end, we the readers are only left guessing. We are also left guessing about the fate of Corrigan and Drake, did they die in the crash or did the Spectre save them under the orders of Corrigan. Read Full Review

This is the issue where I fell in love with Juan Ferreyra. There are two pages of car chase here which just look absolutely beautiful. I'm not the kind of reader that typically goes back to study the art, but I went back and studied those two pages just to admire the beauty, which I don't think any other artist has ever gotten me to do. The writing meanwhile is in some ways impossible to judge. What happens and what is said feel so much like a natural conclusion to the events that precede them that it almost feels like it could've written itself. As it is, I imagine that's actually the result of spectacularly good work by Fawkes, knocking yet another issue out of the park.
